everyone in a good mood for the night. no worries about topping the last performance, as that was from our very bowels. after a long gap, we practiced twice, and made a new rock theme work.
played well enough, with unnerving new idea of stopping between songs sometimes. i didn't have to work on any banter. princess-x sounded rock, and we bashed the level up and up throughout the night. recording is easy on the ear, despite drunken sabotage by geech.
not a life changer, but a useful return to how we should really grind it out. and our set is getting longer. scanners missed because i couldn't see through a self-induced mist. six by seven are getting a bit karaoke now. next year we'll support chris olley and a bank of samplers in a pared-down, i'm-in-it-for-the-tunes...man style. but we can cherish the oldies.
