when i started to write this i couldnt remember anything about it apart from that broken family band played. i remember being in the toilets, reading the witty repartee on the door, when they started to play. i remember the moment of realisation that they were brilliant. i remember it being the hottest gig in the world - there was literally a cloud in the portland. and now, going back over the setlist, im starting to remember the gig itself. we were going to get rob jackson to play with us for the first track, but we ran out of time. i remember that the 2001 sample was too long. i remember having to cut the set short (hence the brackets). i remember it went really well. i think probably our best. sadly i remember little else. ive never been so hot. or so alive. it felt just right.
