definitely my favourite gig that we've done. it was nice to play the portland after so long. but it could've been organised a bit better. there was a lot of sitting about at the beginning with no explanation as to the whyness. and it would've been nice to have all the lights on nstuff, but at least we had a proper soundcheck.
and i thought the sound was really good. i could actually hear what was going on. but its a pity we sold out, haha. no that was cool, i assume most of the people there were for monkey steals the drum, but i know there were a fair few to see us because most of them were stuck in the bar, unable to get in. most people i spoke to afterwards though had managed to get in and see us, and said very nice things to me. we put in a load of practice for this one, and it payed off.
we played a reworked version of comic book apocalypse, and hughs song, (the art of poetry is dying), and that was a great way to end. i really liked the uneasy silence at the end, while everyone thought we were gonna carry on. yeah. hugh came back to the house for a cup of tea afterwards too, and i think he liked his ending. rah, ok byebye. love nthugs.
