well....what can I say..definitely the best gig we've played - and the sound was lush which helped. 35 minutes of physical abuse and 'aahh' / 'grgrgrgrggg' moments which culminated in some crazy choreography of the flying into each other / falling on the floor wrecking stuff style. it felt amazing...i guess we were somehow all in the same kind of mood...and the place was packed out, loads of people seemed to be really into it and made a point of saying so afterwards... the place looked gorgeous in a kind of santa's grotto / saturday night fever way, all sparkling fairy lights (dramatically extinguished in the carnage at the end) and crazy mirror ball light flying everywhere. i think the set's finally working..good things are going to happen - T

We were playing with the band that gave us our "first chance" - Hofman - on their Christmas clubfasterdaddy night. It was a Saturday night at the Portland Arms. From the word go it was going to be a good night. We arranged a really good set that the whole band seemed really happy with. It had a good flow and in practice excited us a lot. We arrived at the Portland Arms in high spirits. We then found out that there was no sound engineer. This seemed at first to prove a big problem. Then gav from Slychimp and Gwei-lo stepped in. By the end of the sound check we seemed very happy. The gig itself was probably my favourite to date. There were a few mistakes on my part, but no-one important noticed (sorry David and Arthur). A good gig was had by all - M
