Cambridge. Rock death. The end.

Maaaaaaatt

A weekend of rock goodness is over. We all gathered in Cambridge for a loverly knees-up at the Barfly, where massive benders and good friends the Broken Family Band plied their wares. Next day after a short practice we played a big fun night at the Portland, with The Tupelov Ghost and Betty and the Werewolves.

We were pleased to see a lot of friendly faces, pleased to make it through an unprecedented 45 minutes of vein-popping rock workout, and pleased to find ourselves dancing to Ini Kamoze before the night was officially over. Photos and a brief reminisce can be found inside.

Ooh! Source!

Sourcey

We've had to pull out of our gig this Saturday (10th Nov) at the Graduate in Cambridge, but should be appearing again this year. Sorry.

A breathless, one-line review of ARGH ep appears in November's Source magazine. Thanks to Brighton DJ and all round 'nice chap' Meatbreak for listening!

"Almost metallic, yet closer to the realms of post-rock or noise-rock, The CRS are forging towards similar territories as One Unique Signal - hard-driving mainly instrumental tracks that build, drop out, hammer back in and ghost off into ambience before swinging it all back up in your face."

Well, it beats "Shit sandwich" anyway.

We also feature on the Monthly Not For Resale download, with lots of interesting and great music. We approve.

Covers and Live Death

The Portland Arms

Thanks to all who came down to the hallowed Portland Arms on Wednesday. There'll be the usual review up shortly, but those of us who remember it are happy. Those that don't are recovering. We were trying out a few new songs, recorded and videoed it and i expect we'll get the biz online soon for all to view.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the EP sorted in time to distribute it, but we'll be sending out free copies (£1 for p&p or something) soon, so send us your name if you want one - theband@waragainstcliche.com

We do however have the artwork finished and ready for print. The super-talented and beard-loving Alex Curtis of Thr33 Designs drew it for us, and we like it a lot
